Looking for something new to do now that the fireworks are done? Two reminders: The After Hours photography exhibition  at Femme Fatale is back on for another week. The extended run for this show from Marie Emerson means you get another four days to check it out. Head to the Femme Fatale pop-up at 1371 H St NE today, Friday, and Saturday until 10 PM, or Sunday until 6 PM. Free. Capital Fringe starts today! New Exhibition for Femme Fatale

Femme Fatale is a pop-up that is more than just a store or collection of retailers. It is a gathering space, gallery, showcase, and promoter of the arts. It's been a great addition to Atlas District and a refreshing and uplifting new presence on H. Today photographer Marie Emerson opens " After Hours ," an exhibition running through the weekend. The opening is tonight, June 29, from 7 PM - 10 PM. Then the show runs Friday 4 PM - 10 PM, Saturday 1 PM - 10 PM, and Sunday 11 AM - 6 PM.  From the organizers: “After Hours” is a photography exhibition, saluting the lives we lead after our 9-5 jobs conclude. The exhibition is composed of portraits of ten local Washington, D.C., women representing six different ethnicities. A new pop up space is coming to H Street NE and it's launching this week. Femme Fatale DC is a local community building collective of and for women artists, creatives, other workers, and business owners. Here's their description from the website :  FFDC is the District's womyn-only collective of local womyn creatives & small business owners. We highlight different entrepreneurs & creatives at each of our parties, with a giant networking party held every other month. Our goal is to foster and sustain our local community of womyn who support one another's creative & business endeavors.
